to the Editor of the Jerusalem Post,
The Israelites undoubtly were not so stupid to pray to a Golden Calf. Such a thing was considered by the heathens as a foot bank for the deity; just like a king wears a crown. The mistake then was that people wanted to place God where they liked Him to be; in german "Gott mit uns", in dutch "Hem voor ons karretje spannen". How then that the Temple Mount is seen as holy by religious jews? There is more misunderstanding like regarding Abraham: He had to acknowledge that not he was master over his son. And neither are political or religious leaders. So in ancient terminolgoy kind of declaration of individual freedom was given. And read what is said in the most christian prayer: No bloodshed is necessary for getting rid of guilt; just like the psalms also maintain. Crossing of Jesus was done by Europeans and may be interpreted as solidarity act of the Messiah with all those humans who suffer. Next question is what do present jews expect more than what this messenger brought? In a jewish church one can believe that he brought new treaty, with raising our status from servants (who want renumeration) to children (who sit at the table with the father, have some access to his wallet, but need education in order not to become automats of zombies). Education involving experiencing good and bad, kind of evolution. Which obviously has been foreseen by the Creator for all humans, also in the future. In the gospel is told which sheep will enter Paradise.
On that Jerusalem mount is enough space for a mosque, a church and a synagoge (where no animals are killed). P.e. also a Psalms House of stainless steel and glass in the form of upwards praying hands, where the shared poetry of those three religions is sung, recited, musicized. Then the building with the golden dome can be used to instruct people on respecting basic equalness and behaving like the merciful Samaritan.
