Rottum is a dutch island, centrally situated in Western Europe. Would not mr. Trump (whose real name is Dagobert) in his concern for safety prefer to buy it instead of Greenland? Probably for only a few billion dollars. Here can, after some enlargement, be a giant great American base, dominating sea and air in a wide surrounding. Denmark is at no more than some hundred miles distance. Reporters may do reconnaissance and take pictures. Military invasion is also an option since there are only seadogs on the beach. (Also nearby there is plenty natural gas under the surface).
Uninhabitated Rottum has no enemies except neighbouring walking island -erosion on the western side, sedimentation on the other- Schiermonnikoog, which ultimately may drive Rottum into the sea. Stop this may be worth a Nobel prize.
