dream tv

tv play

On a sunday afternoon close to twilight a person, profile visible, sits relaxed watching televison.
But only snow is shown as he zaps and zaps.
At last he falls asleep; then on the screen:

                      Try Out

A very small, very old caravan (available) stands in an empty area of sand dunes or rocky desert, half way between the USA and North Korea.
Two persons are nearing from opposite directions. The one coming from the west takes off his small backpack, which he opens to get his mobile telephone. On the inside flap of the backpack can be read the letters CIA sports. The man looks around where he can put the backpack, sees the caravan and puts it on a bank before it.
The other man wears a big military cap with red star. He halts not far from the caravan and also gets his telephone.
Both dial.
C, the american, says: Hi there.
M, from North Korea, says: Hello (or what is usual in his country).

C: Wait a minute; we have to code first for secrecy.
M moves his shoulders not interested.
Both busy with dialling again.
C, as if from the telephone: uuh, ah, eei, I, mmm, mnm.
M: Gr, gr, woo fuc yee.
A, angry: What do you say? Fuck you, yourselve.
M: GR, GRR, GRRR, Booh, what?
C: Let's come to business. Your Kim Jong Eun and my president Barck Obama.....
M nodds in approval.
C: Who will be the strongest?
M: Of course the great Kim Jong Uen!
C: He is young, which can mean having strong muscles; but he seems rather fat.
M: Your president is old and decadent from capitalism.
C: But he has spirit and wants to win.
M: Our leader has more spirit and surely will be superior.
C: That's what we are going to contest. Obama says:  If I win the world may see disappearance of the North Korean Bomb.
M: Our Bomb Kim Jong Uen does not need to be victorious over Obama.
C: We'll find out; that's why we are here in a lonely place for try out.
I think both men will come soon to try the fight.

From opposite directions Obama (actor with face mask) and Kim Jong Eun (the whole body masked  like a sumi wrestler and making a little show) approach.
M: See! Our leader is very strong. No capitalist will get him down.
However while moving with big effort his disguise gets damaged and falls to the ground, except the face mask.
C: Oh, oh, wanting to cheat a little bit, make impression with fat big boy?!
M: That would make your president flee, so he won't get hurt.
C: Listen, this is only a try out, but things should be handled seriously. Otherwise no real fight in public can happen. We have to determine what chances there are to replace war between our countries by a fight of the bosses.
M: Yeah.
C nodds in agreement.
The two actors, both bare-handed, are led to positions at some distance from each other, in front of the caravan. They prepare themselves for the fight with appropriate movements.
Suddenly the door of the tiny caravan opens and a small young girl comes out with a big bag in her hand.
She looks around and then sits on the bank before the caravan.
All four men come to her and ask (together): Who are you?
The little girl smiles and says: I am Lizzy.
She stands up, turns round a whole loop and asks:
L: Do you like my new dress?
She turns around again.
M: Nice
C: Nice.
O: Nice.
K: Nice. Where did you get it?
The girl smiles again and lifts her bag.
L: This is for my little brothers.
K: May I see?
O: Me too.
C: Please let us see.
M: Yeah, yeah.
The girl takes out of the bag a basketball.
All men: Oooooh!!!
O: May I try?
The girl gives him the ball and he plays with it.
K: May I try also?
The girl smiles and nodds affirmatively.
O then throws the ball to K and the girl claps her hands.
All four men play, typical tricks included.
Then sit on the bank with the girl in the middle.
C: How about the fight.
O: How about the Bomb is the question.
K: We like our Bomb.
M: Our great leader sometimes sleeps next to it.
O, bowing forward around the girl for adressing K: I saw in the Wall Street Journal a photograph of you in a small old rowing boat. Wouldn't you like a bigger ship?
K: A cruiser, a carrier?
O crabs behind his ear: With nuclear propulsion; instead of the Bomb?
K: North Korea, the workers Paradise, with a nuclear propulsed carrier on the high seas!
M: Without the Bomb, please, please, he makes begging gestures towards K.
C to O: Do you intend to help North Korea get a giant carrier with nuclear propulsion in exchange for renouncing to the Bomb?
The girl claps her hands; all others join.
The basketball is thrown high into the air.
O to K: Come on, let's play "round the world".
M climbs on the shoulders of C and forms with his arms a basket.
While playing all sing:

       Round and round
the world goes round and round
       with much sound
the sound on who gets bound
       while the other is victorious

       Round and round
the ball goes round and round
       joyfull sound
the sound when peace is found
       make all play, all glorious
