electric Chiang Mai

Not only up and down in a lift but also horizontal movement can be powered by electricity, like a tram from east of the Chiang Mai railway station to the zoo. That will reduce other traffic very much, especially when rides are free, paid by more tax on fuel for cars as it is not necessary to drag around a thousand kilograms of iron all the time. The local university undoubtedly is able to produce supporting ciphers.

Electricity also suits for transport on slopes. Asphalt up the mountain tomorrow may be replaced by rails, though foreign car makers don't like that and oil sheiks won't smile.

Formerly market places and thus cities had to be located amidst flat low lying land with its agriculture. Not so today and the near mountain is big enough for Chiang Mai to house there very many in compact high rise with in- en outside gardens under cooler climate. This allows to demolish ugly parts of the city, filling up with trees and parks. In the European Union it is forbidden to claim beaches for private use. In Chiang Mai and other cities may be applied similarly on greens larger than the shade of a tall tree. Wealthy people need not oppose since they have cars to reach elsewhere gardens big enough to house an elephant.

Today not much walking is done by the inhabitants; ugly motorbikes are used all the time. So the citizens have to eat less in order not to become fat. Or ride a bike. Which you can take into the train? Or rent a bike at every train station? It takes four hours by fast train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai; seven at night to get a good sleep, comfortably on tracks with Russian rail width. Perhaps already in 2116 as for the time being old tracks remain besides four or six and soon eight lane highways and not yet a new line is opened to a capital in cool mountain area or on a high plateau with not so fertile ground. Forbidden to concrete barons who like to construct fly overs. Note that between high rise buildings a tent roof is possible which opens at night and when raining. Immediately though the beautiful gardens under such roofs will be full of families, which is wrong. Because for proper individual development intellectual contacts with other persons are necessary.

Originally the peoples in south East Asia come from China, except local tribes that are still present. Those migrants searched land for agriculture but they never quite adopted to the tropical climate. Wearing clothes is what they continued to do while the true locals were almost naked, which suits best to the humid conditions. China with a population of one and a half billion can absorb 500 million returning descendants from those early migrants. Today most people live in cities and are not bound to land, except for recreation. In southern China the climate is mild, more comfortable than in the tropical regions an why every day puffing, sweating from heat without real variation in weather, which gets rather boring. Then from upper Thailand to the farthest Indonesian island wild flora and fauna can flourish again in undisturbed domain, although tourism is possible. Sufficient income when returning to fast developing China makes many trips possible and if staying home in your new city lots of sports can be practised during day time with pleasant temperature. The elephants will swing good bye with their trunks and the tiger applaudes with a grinse. The Thai king also may like to join as it opens possibility to become emperor of China. Note that one strong man could decide to empty the southern parts of the continent from people and have it as his royal hunting paradise. Before this the Amazon forest, the North Pole regions, the Himalaya, the Sahara be cut loose from states and brought under international control like Antarctica without disturbing human activity.
