philosophers should not be lazy
Where philosophy is high ranking there will be made serious efforts to get more knowledge about the universe, its beginning and its purpose. There we live and make opinions on how to behave and treat fellow people, animals, plants. Sadly most minds lack modern concepts about the contents of religion, which is a domain stretching out farther than our stay on Earth if one is a believer. In science common opinion is that any origin of a process is real and such is valid for the Big Bang too. We may think of the Great Spirit as Creator, because the world is marvellous and involved intelligence excludes that some "It" was busy. Emotional aspects are likely to be present up in "heaven" outside the universum. In short today it seems that God has destined His farm Earth for evolution. Which could not be understood until a few centuries ago because the concept evolution was lacking. The biblical books are written or have been developped by humans who made mistakes sometimes. Not in the least half-heathen Paul who kept himself unaware of the psalm that God needs no offering. Now we may see the New Testament as the promised New Treaty, brought by the Messiah, between God and men, raising our status from servants to children. Who sit at the table with the father and have some access to his wallet, but must be educated and need experiencing good and bad in order not to become automats or zombies. Read the first lines of John's Gospel and notice that is spoken of a mighty king who utters a word and things happen accordingly. Just repeating the Genesis story, which is technically well done since no human eyes were present to observe. Or Jesus did not need godly status and philosophers should have warned not to sin against the Ten Commandments. By the way: Jews throw stones, Europeans crucified.
A same attention is needed regarding validity of the Big Bang, as start from a "cloud" or a field will have been more easy for the Creator than to prop all into a point. A point is a matheamatical concept and does not exist in physics because it has no dimensions. Singular points probably originate from witchcraft. Below more on time.
A main secret in astronomy and physics is the character of mass and of its permanence. Storage of energy in different forms is related to it. To get philosophers to their job of explaining here some topics from the book of Vasily Yanchilin are referred to. His arguments thus far have not been proved as nonsense, but bad silence reigns at universities in order not to loose the general theory of relativity, adhered to so warmly by many learned men. But that theory dates from a century ago before quantum mechanics existed. Why keeping young students ignorant of new theory that is in harmony, unlike Einstein's vision? Find out about:
- the aequivalence principle (page 79)
- red shift (page 198)
- the Mach principle (page 7)
- a better interval formula (page 155)
- black holes (page 91)
- chaos at the border (page 121)
Then check whether you understand by answering whether 1) or 2) on page 192 is correct.
See also page 222 about a devil. Note that the book was written in 2003 and since then other visions may have appeared. Read p.e. the article in the Canadian Journal of Pure and Applied Science on Poincaré and his remarks regarding Riemann geometry. In another article Yanchilin reflects on the transfer of energy in the Earth-Moon system, which I think needs adjustment. Best is to invite the russian scientist, now living in Hurghada with site top-formula.net for a lecture. To avoid questions which are answered already in the book participants have to read it first. That won't be a problem for an all round educated philosopher, daring to evaluate what sense represent black holes, inflation, negative energy instead of sitting idle or only consider ideas of ancient philosophers who lived in a much smaller world.
